According to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions, Adam and Eve were the first man and woman in the world.
What the artist has created, however, is a Chinese version of Adam and Eve — a couple with plump bodies and delicate facial features, sporting retro middle-parted and short hairstyles. They appear silent and contemplative, bound by an indescribable emotional connection.
As time washes away youthful beauty and physical allure, only this deep, enduring love and quiet understanding remain.
